For those who have been taken advantage of by the last people they'd expect. For those who are told to bite their tongue and be grateful for receiving and being treated less than they deserve. For those who continue to be ghosted, swerved and curved because accountability is still too frightening. For those who strive every day not to do to them what they did to you. For those who have stayed quiet for far too long. Here are but two catharses.

These sounds are a reminder to all darkskinned femmes that vocalizing your pain is not a burden. Let these sounds be a reminder that you were conditioned to be afraid of your shadow, because it has answers that lead you towards liberation. Let these sounds be an aid in your unlearning, and augment to your own shadow work. For you have just as much right to your feelings of vengeance, anger, hurt, and frustration as any other lighter skinned woman, or "man" (whatever the fuck that is).

The world will always find one way or another to fuck you over. It's the only way we grow. That doesn't give you an excuse to be the same toward others. But if you must embrace your shadow in unhealthy ways, educate yourself first. The universe will have a way of making you deal with what you put others through. Always.

A reminder to move with integrity.
Move in humility.
Think before you speak.
Think before you act.
Do unto others.
Or gag.
